As Audemars Piguet’s most complicated pocket watch prepared to be unveiled at Sotheby’s, the Grosse Pièce made a trip to Le Brassus – returning to the Vallée de Joux for the first time in over 100 years.
The watch was reunited in the Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet with the “Universelle,” AP’s other ultra-complication. Marking the first and possibly only time that these two great AP creations would occupy the same room.
Sébastian Vivas, Heritage & Museum Director at Audemars Piguet, describes the rediscovery of the Grosse Pièce and what exactly makes this watch so special.
